WOW fans will be interested to know that their game has an event coming up during ReedPOP’s inaugural New York Super Week, and that they may even qualify to be a part of it. ESL, the world's largest, independent eSports brand who hosts high profile international and national leagues and offline and online tournaments - are set to host the epic conclusion of Blizzcon's Hearthstone Championship at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan on October 5th and 6th.

Sign-ups for both Hearthstone and World of Warcraft kicked off on September 1st. From there, players have been battling their way through an online 128 player Swiss Bracket to qualify for the finals. All contestants must reach a 3v3 arena rating of 2,500 ahead of the online double elimination bracket. Only the top bunch will advance to the offline qualifiers at the Hammerstein. From there, the mighty few will advance to BlizzCon for the Global Finals and a chance to win $250,000!

With the wildly popular, eighth BlizzCon just around the corner, the offline qualifiers in NYC are a great warm up to Blizzard Entertainment's event as the anticipation and aura of NYCC glows all around everyone. Yes, NYCC is THAT magical.

BlizzCon will be held Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California, and it's the next stop for the top players who qualify in the tournament! Aside from the tournament, BlizzCon is an awesome, two day, community celebration at the nexus of all things Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. The $199 ticket is sold out, but virtual tickets are still available if you want to live vicariously through attendees and check out the happenings. In fact, you get access to all the contests, panels and interviews, which are not easy to get in to, or get a good seat at. Virtual tickets also include in-game content, and the ability to actually shop convention merchants online for their exclusive deals. Not a bad racket!

For everyone competing online for the qualifiers, good luck!!
