Comic books are the best investment you could make for your money! Anyone who watches the news sees how volatile and how frustrating to investors the Dow Jones Industrial Average can be on a daily basis. Stocks go up and down based on a variety of factors, and really, who can keep up?
Comic books are a sound investment and all it takes is really about one or two paychecks to start. Remember when you were a kid, and you dreamed of your comic book collection one day being worth a fortune? And then you had that dream harshly killed by random adults setting you straight? Well, take it from me, Pete from Pete's Basement, and take it from Vincent Zurzolo of Metropolis Collectibles and ComicConnect.com in New York -- They were wrong! You were right! And all it takes a quick glance at some recent comic book auctions to prove it. Zurzolo suggests in this article that the best comic book investment to make is Amazing Fantasy 15, the first appearance of Spider-Man. This book will always go up in value, even if you have to wait two to three years to see any significant growth.
For more details on how to start your comic book investment portfolio, read the whole article from Market Watch. While Zurzolo is certainly not wrong, not everybody can afford a first appearance of Spidey, which is going to run you at least $3,000 for a copy that presents well.
So be sure to tune in to Part II of this article where I talk about some of my own opinions and suggestions on what books to buy that will make good money-makers in the near future. There are plenty of movies coming out, and that means first appearances are going to be HOT! See you next time when I'll tell you how to get the biggest BANG! WHAM! POW! for your buck!! Til then, happy buying!
