Punisher, Blade, and Ghost Rider in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

As of last year, Marvel Studios' head honcho Kevin Feige let it slip that the movie rights to The Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Blade have returned to Marvel. Friggin' awesome!

While Marvel Studios has no immediate plans to make new movies featuring these characters, in part because their last movies didn't do so well, and because the company currently has a lot - (read: A LOT) on their plate, that doesn't mean guest appearances in other outlets are out of the question. We could potentially see these characters show up in smaller venues, like say, the Marvel/Netflix shows coming out next year!

Who amongst us doesn't love a good Daredevil vs. Punisher, justice vs. punishment conflict?!

I hope they get Tom Jane back, or if they want someone new, my vote goes to Karl Urban. I really liked the Tom Jane Punisher movie. It had its flaws, sure -- I mean, what superhero movie doesn't? Even the good ones. But all in all it was exactly the Frank Castle the true fans wanted. He wasn't just killing people. He was cold, calculating, manipulating, and brilliant.

I can even watch Punisher: War Zone on mute! Ray Stevenson did a fantastic job as Frank. But those horribly overdone and fake-as-fuck Brooklyn accents I just can't get around. Everybody was worried about having a female director, Lexi Alexander, at the helm because she wouldn't make the movie violent enough. The violnce was great!! That scene where Frank shoved the guy's face onto a nail? Classic! Too bad Lexi's never been to Brooklyn before or she would have known better than to let British guys try to sound like New Yorkers.

I thought the first and second Blade were pretty good too. Part three on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Which is a shame too, because the Blade/Dracula fight was the one we were all waiting for. There is absolutely nothing good that can be said for Ghost Rider (Pissing flame?!?! Fucking really?!?!?).

WHY?

This was the only scene worth speaking of.

And let's not discount Agents of SHIELD! Their budget might not be big enough to pull off the special effects needed for Ghost Rider, but how badass would it be to see Blade running around as Chloe Bennet's Skye takes ona horde of vampires!!

Point is, Marvel's got big things planned, and they're casting a wide net for characters to join in their cinematic universe.
