Spider-Man 4 (and 5?) confirmed!

Figured I'd share this with the entire PB forum. It's just recently been confirmed that not only is Sony Pictures (I really hate that Marvel Studios isn't doing this) has locked in Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi for Spider-Man 4 AND 5, which they are hoping can be filmed at the same time. This raises a few interesting questions and points for me regarding the whole movie franchise and how they fucked up so badly with SM3. Since Avi Arad was responsible for literally flipping the script on Raimi for Spider-Man 3 and crowbarring in Venom, and he is no longer working with Sony (he's on board with Marvel Studios instead), there is actually a glimmer of hope for the movie franchise. Hopefully the powers that be will recognize Spider-Man 3 as a misstep, even if it did clean up at the box office. Just give Raimi the reins, man. He already delivered 2 great superhero flicks (Spider-Man 2 might be my very favorite film from the entire genre) no reason to think he couldn't make a third one so long as the suits stay out of his way.
Not sure which villain I'd wanna see. They've been setting up The Lizard from the jump, so that'd be cool. Although I'm hesitant to see yet another "lab accident" villain origin in this franchise. How about some Black Cat? We can all get behind that, right?

I'm all for the Black Cat idea, I think that's classic Spidey at it's best! Wonder who would be a good fit and would look good in a black catsuit with fur trim, sharp claws and white/silver hair.....
Good money tho is on the Lizard making a transformation in the next film though. Hey, maybe you could do both and have Cat & Spidey team up to stop the Lizard.
