Live Action BLUE BEETLE Test Footage!

A year ago I posted comments from Geoff Johns about a live action "Blue Beetle" television series, along with screen captures of the test footage [View Post]. No further developments on this project have been reported. There is no confirmation that "Blue Beetle" is still in development or put on the shelf. In the meantime, enjoy the test footage.

NEW Executive Management Team for DC Entertainment

DC Entertainment, founded in September 2009 to unleash the power of the DC Comics library of characters across all media platforms, has named its executive management team, including new co-publishers of DC Comics and a Chief Creative Officer, as well as heads of Sales/Marketing/Business Development and Finance/Administration. Diane Nelson, President, DC Entertainment, made the announcement Thursday (Feb. 18th, 2010). Read more »

LOBO Loses Direction

Last year Warner Bros. announced Guy Ritchie was hired to direct the movie adaptation of DC Comics character "Lobo". Recently Guy Ritchie directed "Sherlock Holmes" starring Robert Downey Jr., the studio wants to move forward with "Sherlock Holmes 2", and they want Guy Ritchie to return for the sequel. The L.A. Times spoke with producer Joel Silver who is producing both properties and asked if "Sherlock Holmes 2" will delay the production of "Lobo" until Ritchie is free to direct. "I would guess a different director" said Silver, "It's all happening at once now. Everybody is talking about everything .... It's an ongoing conversation."

Has GREEN LANTERN found his Doctor?

Actor Peter Sarsgaard is in talks with Warner Bros. to play the role of villain Dr. Hector Hammond in the Green Lantern movie. Sarsgaard just finished making the movie "Knight and Day" also featuring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. In the Green Lantern comics Dr. Hector Hammond is the son of a pathologist and after finding a meteor obtains psychic abilities.
