Wonder Woman

•Action Comics 868 – “Brainiac Part 3” is just damn good. Gary Frank and Geoff Johns can do no wrong it seems. They are basically re introducing Brainiac and it is incredible. This story is also going to have lasting ramifications. Namely Kryptonians being let free on earth.

•Batman – “R.I.P. part??” do I care what part is it up to? NO! Batman of Zur-En-Arrh?! Yes Batman is capable of creating a different personality to protect him from such an attack. But damn!

It was truly a good damn week. Spoilers to come.

•Ultimate Origins 2 – I normally read books in company alphabetical order. Yes I know, I am a geek. But a big geek that can get away with whatever I usually feel like. All that aside I saw the Gabriele Dell’otto cover and just had to read it. His covers are freaking great. I loved his stuff during Secret Wars a while back. Anyways this is a truly great series. How is it that Marvel is pulling off 2 events while DC is struggling with 1?

Ok this was a short week for me. Yet surprisingly good. Spoilers will follow.

•Action Comics 866 – This issue rocked. The way Gary Frank draws Superman and the writing was on point. I so recommend this book. The beginning of a Braniac arc that looks to be the genuine article.

•Batman Confidential 18 - This book so rocked, and not just because the 2 female characters were nude. No, it is a great story and drawn really well. With all the major events involving the Batman cast this book is refreshing

It’s been an interesting week. DC and Marvel go head to head in space and Batman is heading to the grave. Marvel also works with the French, Soleil Comics to be more precise.

•Batman 676 – This begins the much-awaited R.I.P. story arc. So far I could care less for this series. Too much foreboding and a really crappy looking set of villains dominate this book. The gem of this book is the Joker though. He is written and drawn in a truly incredibly evil way.

Small yet good week. which is good cause i am still dazed from the invasion.

•Echo 2- This book is getting good. The character is starting to grow and as expected her opposing characters are in play. The nature of all that crap that fell onto her is also started to show, of course slowly. You shouldn’t expect something like Kick-Ass here. It’s not that kind of book nor will it ever be.

There were some real gems out this week. let's begin.

•Batman Confidential 14- OK, we have a villain out there throughly trained like the bat. It's been done. Throw in Nightwing at his height of rebellion and we got nothing special. I mean it is a decent series, this issue just didn't do it for me.

•Countdown 7- The only thing this damn book has done for me is make me dislike kyle rayner. That takes a lot considering i am so loving the GL books.
