X-Force

OH WHAT A WEEK. I am referring to the Dark Knight movie. This weeks books are ok at best. A few gems in the pile of books though. Spoilers to come.

•Conan the Cimmerian 1 – I was disappointed. A story of Conan’s granddad was not what I was expecting. The art changed to an older style too. I am not dropping the book mind you but it was no classic…. So far.

I am late. So sue me. Here are my books for this week. A lot of damn books! Spoilers to come.

•Action Comics 865 – It’s a reinforcing of Superman’s great rogue’s gallery. The problem there is that he doesn’t have a great one. I don’t know. What the hell is DC doing? Sure Supes can sure use a freshening up but to start with the toyman, come on.

Ok this is me not being late with my review.

•Batman 675- ok this book is the beginning of the whole Batman R.I.P arc that DC has been hooting about. I like the idea of Batman being a little on the nutty side. He should be! Look at all the crap the man has endured. Look forward to Morrison doing his thing.

•Birds of Prey 117- Um, DC appears to be trying a revamp on the book. I mean a new town just when they got to Metropolis. The cast so far is the same but I have a feeling that will change too. Hopefully for the better.

Ok it was a good week again. Let's just get to the point.

•Echo 1- Terry Moore of strangers in Paradise fame has started this new series. I decided to pick this up due to all the critical acclaim about his last series. This is a damn good book. There is a lot of character in this book. I see this book growing into a damn great series. It isn't exactly a super hero book... yet. It has all the ingredients to be one though, and a good book at the same time.
